Today Pastor Frank Wilson gave us a Class A presentation of his entitled Sermon, "Stepping Into Your Destiny". Yes I laughed at his joke when he told us about the parachute instructor informing a student that when the emergency rope did not work that it was time to jump to a conclusion. Pastor Wilson admonised us to begin a plan with the end in mind, such as he did when he prepared for special events and concerts. Because he had a big role in the Motown experience early on, his Sermon, which is availale on dvd, speaks about how his destiny to be a record producer and writer was not realized until at a later time in his life. He preached to us that we, too, are destined to do certain things but we may not be aware of that destination until we see the end of it. Once we get there we will recognize that God's hand was on us all the time...
Whether our situation was deemed good or bad...God can cause all things to work together for good to those of us who love God and are called according to His purpose. I know I love God but I also know that I cannot say that at all times only good things were manifested in my life but I can say that the process I am going through right now, to publish my first novel, Fragrance, is leading me to the path to my destiny.
Pastor Wilson is a very gifted singer, songwriter, and his Sermons are 'real' not fluffed up or pomperous sounding. I was pleased to hear him say my name during his sermon as he normally calls out names during his sermon to personalize the service. But this time he also added that those names he calls out, that they need to bring somebody to service! Well...!
I am such an introvert with occassional outside extroverted behavior, that it is much easier for me to sit on my computer and ASK YOU, NO, INVITE YOU TO COME TO OUR CHURCH. Why? Because Pastor Frank called out my name and now I am identified? Not quite. So in response, I want him to know (God already knows) that I heard his message, enjoyed it a lot and will do what I can to get some folks there! Where? Go to their website: www.newdawnchristianvillage.org and I tell you the music jumps with ultra professional musicians, the praise team lifts hearts, and we dearly love our 1st Lady, Bunny Wilson.
When you are greeted at the door please tell them that you are a guest of Princene's who invited you to come from her blog site. That will be so funny to me and when visitors stand, please raise your hand to say you came because of a blog site of Princene's. I believe you will come because it will be in your destiny to do so. Like Pastor Wilson's Sermon, taken from Romans 8:28-29, you, too, will be "Stepping Into Your Destiny".
